WED/ THURS FEB. 6/7 - ENGLISH 8
Today we:
1) Started off learning how to search the school's library for a novel to read. You all have your own novel now and need to start reading it tonight! 10 pages for Friday. Hopefully it's a good one!
2) Afterwards, we did a mini-lesson on how to make our writing more descriptive (5 senses, adjectives, similes, metaphors, adverbs). We did some partner practice describing pictures.
3) The last 45 min. of class was used to work our second (and last) paragraph of the "letter recount of our Europe trip". Use the jot notes from last class to write what your favourite country was and why (what is there to do/see there??). Be descriptive!
Rough copy due Friday
Good copy due Monday (we will have computers for 45 minutes on Friday to type it up).
